Prologue:
/Time to escape/
Castiel had moved Jo, on His request. Then he left the room and closed the door. Seconds later, quite the gold glowing light show happened. Ellen, Bobby, Sam, and Dean were through the door as soon as the light died down.
The door opened and Jo looked up to see her mother. Ellen looked to Jo to see a blonde woman leaning over her, panting heavily. As Jo sat up, the blonde fell over Jo's legs.
"Remind me not to do near death Heals again," She croaked.
/The clutches of a name/
Castiel rolled his eyes at her and scoffed. When he saw the others staring at him in confusion.
"One of God's best kept secrets were the Arcs and the Hunters," Castiel sighed, "The girl currently using Jo's legs as a pillow is Adoray, one of the Hunters."
Castiel walked over and scooped Adoray up, letting Jo get up from where he lay her.
"Arcs are the only ones who can heal without getting drained," Castiel told them at their looks, "Hunters are drained, but the severity depends on how injured those they are healing really are."
A white eyed man cleared a table.
"Thank you, Michael," Castiel spoke as he laid Adoray out on it, then continued, "Jo was minutes from death, so the severity was extreme."
/No this is not a game/
Michael moved a lock of blonde hair out of Adoray's face.
"Hence her unconsciousness," He picked up for Castiel.
Michael sighed, looking at Adoray and shaking her head.
"Adoray is as selfless as Ithuriel," He spoke, "as stubborn as Gabriel, as nurturing as Amitiel," he looked to Raphael, "remember when she would debate strategy with Ahriman, before his Falling?"
Raphael nodded with a chuckle.
"I remember," He spoke, his arms crossed over his chest, leaning on a wall.
/(It's just a)/
"She would taunt Asmodeus," He chuckled, "even then, she thought him a vain prick."
Amitiel nodded.
"True," She chuckled, then added with a smile, "I remember when she would outsmart Michael in battle simulations."
Michael glared at the female Arc, but she was not phased. Castiel sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Michael looked to him and laughed.
"We are frustrating the scholar, Amitiel," He chuckled.
Raphael shook his head and rolled his eyes. Gabriel cocked his head. Uriel looked to him, then followed his little brother's gaze. What greeted Uriel amused him. Sam Winchester was standing next to the table holding Adoray. And he was just watching her.
/I don't believe in fate/
"Something that none of us are proud to admit," Uriel spoke, "is that Azazel had once been a Hunter, like Adoray. But he Fell and became what you all knew him to be," Uriel took a drag of his cigarette, "back when Azazel was a Hunter, he blessed children," then he nodded to Sam, "just like this one," he took another drag, "to become Hunters after their deaths. Sometimes they even went on to become Arcs. Like me."
That shocked the Arcs and Hunters listening.
"But after he Fell," Uriel closed his eyes, "all the children he blessed became..." He shook his head, "the ones blessed before his Falling...they became demons. The ones blessed afterward...usually they went mad," he looked to Sam, "but this one," he breathed out, "this one is lucky."
Dean spoke.
"How?" He croaked, "How is Sam lucky?"
/But the bottom line/
Sam flinched at his brother's words, Ellen noticing that Adoray flailed a bit when he did.
"Because he had you," Uriel glared, "because he had all of you," he took a drag of his cigarette, "which is more than I can say for the others," he put it out, since it was almost down to the filter, "yeah, Sammy boy here fucked up. So did we," he gestured to the Arcs, "Michael ending up Falling," Michael looked away, "the rest of us, minus Gabriel and Amitiel, of course, were killed."
Uriel popped his neck.
"I drowned myself in booze," Uriel admitted, "Amitiel in drugs, Ithuriel and Raphael just hid," he scoffed, "Smart bastards," he pulled out another cigarette and lit it, "Ahriman made the drugs that Amitiel drowned herself in," he continued, "Asmodeus run the whore house that Sammael had forced Amitiel in to," then he chuckled darkly, "shotgun blast to the face took Asmodeus' looks away," he took a drag of the cigarette.
/It's time to pay/
"Ithuriel ran a soup kitchen," Gabriel spoke, "Raphael was under it...in tunnels. I..." he drifted off.
Amitiel put her hand on his arm.
"Gabriel blames himself for Raphael, Uriel and Ithuriel's murders," She said softly, "he was so angry...he went to...he hunted down Asmodeus and he killed him," She leaned her head on Gabriel's shoulder, "then he healed the girl that Asmodeus was giving plastic surgery to, to make her look like him."
Then Amitiel chuckled.
"When Adoray found out how much that Gabriel tortured himself over it," She sighed, chuckling softly, "she smacked him upside his head...hard."
/You know you've got it/
"Damn straight," Adoray croaked.
Everyone turned to see Sam helping her sit up. The eyes of the Arcs widened. Adoray was letting someone, outside of one of them, touch her. That was a feat in and of itself.
/This is war/
"Point is, Dean-O," She croaked, "everyone of us here has fucked up," she squeezed Sam's hand, "so lay off your brother."
